ATV Trails - Mill Creek Park - Clark County, Illinois

A <a href="#waiver">waiver</a> and permit must be obtained for all riders prior to using the trails. For In-District patronage, the daily ATV pass is $4.00. In-District annual passes are available for $25.00. Out-of-District rates are $6.00 per day or $35.00 annually. In addition, Illinois State OHV registration stickers are also required, and can be purchased at the gatehouse.  Prices are $11.00 if the OHV is titled in the State of Illinois, and $18.00 if the OHV is titled elsewhere. The stickers are good for one year, from April 1st to March 30th. They are valid for any ATV riding trails in the State of Illinois that require the sticker. <p align="left">The trails are patrolled randomly, and any ATV rider found without the proper pass or sticker will most likely be subject to a fine.</p> <p align="center"><b>ATV Rules and Regulations</b></p> <h3 align="center"><b>No ATV riding in areas of the Park other than the ATV Trails.</b></h3> <ol> <li> <p align="left">Trails are open only when ground conditions permit. <b>Call (217) 889-3901</b> <b>or (217) 889-3601 to check on trail status.</b></li> <li> <p align="left">You must purchase a daily or annual pass prior to riding.</li> <li> <p align="left">Only ATVs, dirt bikes, and horses on trails; no cars or trucks.</li> <li> <p align="left"><span style="font-family:"Albertus Medium"">You must sign a wavier and purchase an annual or daily pass prior to riding.<o:p> </o:p> </span></li> <li> <p align="left"><span style="font-family:"Albertus Medium"">Your pass must be displayed on the rearview mirror of your vehicle.</span></li> <li> <p align="left"><span style="font-family:"Albertus Medium"">While riding the trails, a DOT approved helmet must be worn at all times. Additional safety equipment is highly recommended (motocross boots, gloves, goggles, etc.).</span></li> <li> <p align="left"><span style="font-family:"Albertus Medium"">You must be 18 years old to sign your own <a href="#waiver">waiver</a> and ride the trails.</span></li> <li> <p align="left"><span style="font-family:"Albertus Medium""><span style="font:7.0pt "Times New Roman""> </span>If you are 16 or 17 you must have your <a href="#waiver">wavier </a>signed by your parent prior to riding the trails.</span></li> <li> <p align="left"><span style="font-family:"Albertus Medium"">If you are under 16 and wish to ride the trails: a.) your waiver must be signed by your parent prior to riding the trails, and b.) and you must be accompanied at all times by someone at least 18 years of age. </span></li> <li> <p align="left"><span style="font-family:"Albertus Medium"">No passengers are allowed on ATV’s.<o:p> </o:p> </span></li> <li> <p align="left"><span style="font-family:"Albertus Medium"">No rough riding that could endanger others.<o:p> </o:p> </span></li> <li> <p align="left"><span style="font-family:"Albertus Medium"">Stay on the trails unless otherwise directed. </span></li> <li> <p align="left"><span style="font-family:"Albertus Medium"">All ATV’s must have mufflers or spark arrestors that are federally approved.<o:p> </o:p> <o:p> </o:p> </span></li> <li> <p align="left"><span style="font-family:"Albertus Medium"">No open fires permitted.</span></li> <li> <p align="left"><span style="font-family:"Albertus Medium"">No littering, try to leave the area as clean or cleaner than you found it.<o:p> </o:p> </span></li> <li> <p align="left"><span style="font-family:"Albertus Medium"">If an ATV meets a horse on the trail, the ATV will move to the side of the trail, shut off the motor, and let the horse(s) pass.<o:p> </o:p> </span></li> <li> <p align="left"><span style="font-family:"Albertus Medium"">If an ATV comes up behind a horse on the trail, the horse will move to the side of the trail, and let the ATV(s) pass. The ATV(s) will idle by.<o:p> </o:p> </span></li> <li> <p align="left"><span style="font-family:"Albertus Medium"">Only ATV’s and Horses are allowed on the trails.<o:p> </o:p> </span></li> </ol> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-family:Tabitha"> <o:p> </o:p> </span></p> <p class="MsoBodyText"><i>All Rules and Regulations are in addition to the General Use Regulation Ordinance of Mill Creek Park.
